Woljeongsa Buddhist Temple
월정사 Monastery (月精寺 - Pure Moon Temple/Monastery) was founded in the Pyeongchang area, where the 2018 Olympics were held, by the monk Uisan, who was going to China with a friend a couple of times (and only once reached; but without a friend).
The monastery was founded in 643, immediately after the return of Yisan from China. Of course, the monastery has been destroyed many times over its long history; the buildings you see now were restored in the 20th century.
But some of the stone pagodas and statues have survived from ancient times ...
Those who wish can think of something beautiful and spin the yongzhangde drum (輪藏臺
윤장대; "pedestal of the hidden wheel"; actually, a library 8-sided revolving cabinet in Buddhist monasteries, where sutras and other sacred texts were kept).
Not everyone was able to read before (Buddhist texts, I think, even now it will be hard for a modern Korean to read without preparation). Therefore, the rotation of the drum can replace the reading of complex texts.
