Monastery Ssangesa ("Temple of the two streams")
Located in Hadong, South Gyeongsang Province, on the slopes of Jirisan - the most majestic mountains of the mainland and in South Korea's largest national park.
The monastery was founded in 722 by two students of master Uisang - Sambop and Taebi in 722 AD. Unfortunately, during the Japanese invasion in. 16th century, the monastery was completely destroyed; most of the modern buildings of the monastery are from the 17th century and later.
Near the temple is a famous historical market Hvage Chantho on which we will be able to meet and eat, if desired, some products of the two provinces - Kyongsang and Cholla.
